Mother's Day

Someone did not want her picture made...but I wanted a picture of us on Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! I know it is the day after....we got in late last night and I started to blog but then decided to go to bed at a decent hour instead.

Yesterday we went to church and then went to eat only to find it the wait was way too long for the Princess and maybe for me too. So we came home and fixed something to eat here and then last night went by the cemetery and then to eat and then stopped at our favorite yogurt place to finish off the night.

Now she is smiling
OK, I have been working really really hard on losing weight but after seeing these pictures I think I just need to quit eating all together! Ok, that is a joke but seriously, looking at these you would not think I run 2-3 times a week and work out on other days during the week....time to get really serious (as if I wasn't already) with my work out program. I guess that will be Hubby's and the Princesses favorite yogurt place for a while...I am thinking I may not even take my cheat day once a week anymore...maybe one every other week...we will see.
I did get a picture of us together on Mother's Day with her smiling.....

Thursday....

Yesterday the Princess did something she does not get to do very often...she had a babysitter!! She went to a friends house and did great. Actually, everytime she goes over there she has a wonderful time. She hardly pays attention to me when I go to pick her up. We do not get sitters that often and when we do we have a handful of people we ask...the big joke is you have to be over 40 to watch her:)! Seriously, no one under 40 has ever kept her! The above picture was the picture Lynn emailed me while she was there. I had told Hubby that she normally sends me a picture while she watches her and not long after that my picture came!! Of course we both looked at it several times. She stayed with her for about 3 hours. Lynn has toys that the Princess does not see unless she goes over there because she still has some of her kids toys - so things they do not even make anymore!! Her kids are only a few years younger than me. They must have played hard because she was asleep before 9:00 I believe and then slept until about 9:30 this morning!!

A friend of ours mom passed away so we went to the viewing and funeral. I can only think of a few times that we have gone somewhere together without her! Maybe I need to see if Lynn would watch her so we could go to dinner one night:). THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH FOR TAKING CARE OF HER FOR US!!!

Grocery Shopping...

Today's quick trip to the grocery store....all pictures taken with my iPhone so they are not that great but the subject is the cutest little girl!!

Before lunch today I needed to run and pick up something for the Princess to eat for lunch and something to cook for dinner tonight. I guess that means I need to go grocery shopping:). Anyway, it was really close to lunch time which is the worst time to take the Princess to the grocery store because she is usually not very happy if she is hungry...wonder where she gets that from:).

As we were driving there I decided I might let her push the little buggies that they have that are her size. If I did that maybe she would not think about the fact that it was almost lunch time. So that is what we did!

Let's get some turkey for dinner. Tonight we are having spaghetti made with turkey rather than hamburger meat.

Got our cold stuff, now off to get the bread on our way to check out. I had picked up a loaf of bread and before I knew it the Princess was picking up a loaf and squeezing it so I felt like that should be the loaf we buy...sorry Hubby, I know you do not like squished bread but that was the loaf the Princess picked out:)
Now lets get in line and check out! I think the Princess loved todays quick run to the store!

CHEEEEEEESE

I think I have mentioned before the Princess has really gotten into wanting her picture made and lately it seems she says "cheese" even more. I will get the camera and then she will sometimes pose for me.

This picture was so funny because she was saying cheese, I got the camera and she walked over to a toy and stood by it like she was posing and wanted me to take the picture.
Tonight Hubby had plans so I ran out to get something for me and the Princess to eat before he left. When I got back home he was putting her pajamas on her (because he had given her a bath before he left, he is so great with helping with her) anyway, she had a headband on with THREE, yes THREE different bows in it. According to Hubby that is what she wanted. While she was eating her dinner I got this picture of her.

Here are a couple of other pictures I took of her and hubby. She loves her daddy...she is a Daddy's Girl!!!

Training & A 5K!

I think I may have mentioned before that I decided to take up running - and started training for my first 5K in Januray. In March I ran my first 5K!! The week of the 5K I decided I needed one of these...

It has really made a difference for me. I know when my heart rate gets to a certain number it makes it harder to run...so now I can watch my heart rate when it starts getting hard to run and slow down to bring it back down. I am planning on running another 5K this month (can you believe it is already May!). I used C25K to train for my 5K. I am now using B210K and training for a 10K although I do not plan on running a 10K until maybe the fall...I just figured if I was training for that it should help me with my speed and maybe I will run a little faster this time around. My last run I ran 15.02 min/mile. I was happy that I was able to run the whole thing. My goal was to finish the race!!!

My friends husband took the following pictures...so photo credits go to Jay A.

This first picture is a picture of me and my biggest cheer leader...and my little trainer!
This next picture is a picture of my friend Allison...this was her first 5K also. We were both so happy that we finally ran a 5K!!

So are any of you runners? What is your favorite running "tool"??
