Hello Everyone.....

I know it has been a while since I posted....so I thought I would post tonight. I have been busy with work as always this time of the year and then I have been flat on my back since Friday night! My back was hurting on Friday and then by Friday night I could barly walk. You would have thought that would have given me plenty of time to post but I have not even felt like using my computer (I know that is really suprising to some of you)! Having back issues this time of the year really does not fit into my schedule. Besides just being able to go to work I am suppose to be training for a 5K with a friend of mine - we are planning on running the 5K Memorial Day weekend. Also, this is not helping my weight loss program since I was eating whatever was brought to me....remember, I could hardly get out of the bed much less try and figure out what to cook. We do not have a lot going on here....we did have "Spring Storms" today....hopefully they are gone for a few days.

Easter Flowers

We went to put Kate's Easter flowers out today. Thought I would show ya'll a few pictures....since not everyone has the opportunity to go out and see the flowers each time I switch them out. I started to take a picture of her Valentine's flowers while I was out there and did not because with all the weather they needed to be completly redone. Anyway, here are a few pictures, the closeup of the bottom of the arrangement are little easter eggs....how cute are those little Easter eggs!!!

SNOW, SNOW AND MORE SNOW....

Ok, I told ya'll we were getting snow last Monday night so the pictures I am posting are from Monday night and Tuesday morning. We did not get an actual "snow day" but I did not get to work until around 10:00.....lots of accidents on the highway so I stayed home until it started warming up. You would not begin to imagine how much snow I had to shovel off my car on Tuesday morning just to drive to work....there was so much on there that I drove from our house almost to downtown and there was still enough on my car that a lady who saw me get out of my car ask how far north I lived to have that much still on my car....I had driven 35 - 40 miles at that point....and then we got more snow on Thursday....I left work early because the sleet had started sticking up here and the snow was falling and covering the ice....my neighbor told me the snowflakes that were falling earlier that day were as big as a half dollar!!! When I drove into my neighborhood, I could not believe it! There was even someone out "shoveling snow"....I am assuming they are not originally from the South since they had the actual tools to shovel snow! I am assuming it was a snow shovel....it did look like what I think one looks like. The only pictures I have from Thursday are on my phone....I will get those downloaded also and let you all see them....so here are the pictures from Monday night and Tuesday morning!

JUST CATCHING UP AND GUESS WHAT - WE FINALLY HAVE SNOW!!!!

Seems like it has been forever since I have posted. I have been so busy the past week or so. So much is going on right now not to mention busy season is here for both of us. Little Sadie is not too crazy about busy season as it means not as much play time for her...poor little pup. Luckily, she had a playdate with Elvis this past Saturday night and as always, they had a blast. Alexia (Elvis' mommy) took a picture of them playing together, as soon as she sends that to me I will post the picture of 2 way too cute little labs!

Believe it or not, it is FINALLY snowing here...only thing is they do not expect it to really accumulate on the roads....so I don't think we will be getting a snow day tomorrow but you never know...I guess I will have to wait till morning to know for sure!!!!

EA SOCIAL KICKOFF

As some of you reading this know I am very involved with the EA at our church. For those of you wondering right now, what is the EA it is a group of women who have lost children due to miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant death. Through this ministry I have a made several lifelong friendships and hope to make more as I meet these ladies that join this ministry. I have said several times that this is one of the most special ministries to be a part of because God has chosen us to be a part of this group, it is not just a group you sign up for to help out, you are here because you have had a loss...there is a poem that compares this to a pair of shoes...and the poem talks about not liking the shoes I am wearing and I think I can say that the ladies in this group do not like the shoes we are wearing but that is what we have been given and that is the shoes we wear everyday...a lot of people do not want to talk about our shoes but this group of ladies will listen at any given moment.... I was matched with a wonderful person in October 2005 after we lost Kate. She opened the EA door to me...I often introduce my friend as my "angel friend" when I am introducing her because she was and still is an angel to me. Then, in December two other wonderful ladies did the "12Days of Christmas" for me. One of these ladies "J" and I had a telephone conversation and then met in January 2006 at church one morning....and hit it off immediatley...and I did not meet the other lady "D" until many months later and last year we had the opportunity to get to know each other much better...and I am so glad that God has placed her in my life as well. All three of these ladies were angels to me during our loss and still are..I treasure each of their friendships..and to think we would have never met had it not been for our losses...friendships God has chosen for each of us....even though they did not know me when we first lost Kate, because we all go to church together they knew about the loss....and they knew the pain and grief that we were experiencing. I could go on and on about what a great ministry I believe the EA is, but I will save that for another time... It is amazing sitting down with these women and knowing they are not thinking anything that you might say sounds "crazy".....so, back to the title...we decided to start having a social every other month for this group of women.....a girls night out....so last night we all met at a Paint Your Own Pottery Studio down on the square and had a wonderful time painting our pottery, just chatting and having a little celabration for all the babies that had a birthday in January, February or March. I am very curious to see what my coffee cup that I made turns out like....I love to scrapbook and stamp but have never said that I could paint....I MIGHT post a picture of the finished product when I get to pick it up next week...just according to how it looks! Here are a few pictures from our EA Girls Night Out last night.

THE CREATIVE SIDE OF ME

Here is a card I made to put a giftcard in for a baby shower this past Sunday. The stamps used on the card are by StampinUp©. Ok, I hope that is how you show that Stampin Up has the copyright on the stamp...other techniques used on this card include sewing, sponging/inking, and paper tearing.
