Sadie Turns "2"

Our little Sadie turned 2 on April 25th......short story about the day she was born....we got Sadie when she was between 3 - 4 months old......we made an appointment for her and took her to the vet to have her checked out.....we had not really paid attention to her actual birth date but we knew she was born in April and that was it.....as we were sitting in the examination room at the vet's office waiting on the vet to come in I was just looking at her paperwork where she had seen her initial vet and realized that she was born on the 25th of April, that was the same day that our Roxie was born on.....for those of you that do not know we had a Rottweiler that belonged to Hubby before we got married that was like a child to us....Roxie passed away on December 28, 2003. You know since I think there must be dogs in heaven I sometimes think of how Roxie and Kate must play together and one day they will be reunited with their mommy & daddy....

We did not celebrate Sadie's birthday until the following Saturday night, May 3rd. Sadie had a Cowgirl Birthday Party. We invited her little pals that she plays with....Elvis, Noel & Holly......there have been several post on her little playdates in the past with these 3 pals.....although we have never had them all 3 over at the same time until last Saturday....they were so cute all playing out in the back yard......well, what is a birthday without birthday cake and icecream? So, for the non-canines we grilled, had chips and dip and birthday cake and ice cream! For the little canines, they had lots and lots of water and homemade dog biscuits that I made and cut out using cookie cutters in the shape of a cowboy hat, cowboy boot and state of Texas (Thanks to my friend Dena that found them while she was out of town the beginning of last week!! Thanks again Dena!)

So, Elvis has 2 non-canine brothers.....they are around 5 & 8 and then Noel and Holly have 2 non-canine sisters around 8 and 10ish....I am probably really messing up on all of their ages....I will correct them as soon as their moms email me with the right ages.....anyway, their little treat bags consisted of a ball that sticks on the wall and a pack of jacks.....how long has it been since you played jacks??? I need to go get me a pack of jacks!!

Sadie's pals got to go home with a bag of homemade dog biscuits, just like the ones they had at Sadie's party and then I made a frame for each of them to put a picture of Sadie and the dog the frame belongs to in.....

Sadie's party was a lot of fun! Here are some pictures from her party!!!
