Catching Up, A Positive Test and A Few Pictures....

I was doing so well keeping my blog updated last week and this week I have missed two days. I do have a good excuse though. Yesterday, after two visits to the doctors office I found out that the Princess has strep! We went in yesterday morning after I spoke to the nurse on the phone but her ears looked good and I guess her throat was not red. She just had a low grade fever and did not want to eat her breakfast. She has had a low grade fever on and off and I always think it is teething because she is teething a lot these days. When she would not eat yesterday morning was my sign something was not right. After we left the doctors office thinking it probably was just teething we ran several errands.  We ended up back at the doctors office after her fever went up to 103.4 and then even after giving her Mot*in it was still   100.7 a hour and a half later.  They told me to bring her back in.  I thought she had probably developed another ear infection - I was not even thinking it was going to be strep.  When the doctor looked at her throat it was a little red so she decided to go ahead and test her.  I am so glad I went ahead and took her back in so that we got started on the antibiotics last night!  We were suppose to go to the Pumpkin Patch for a playdate today with my MOPS group. I found the Princess a cute pumpkin shirt and socks to wear today but it doesn't look like we will be going. Luckily, we have the whole month of November to wear it:)!! Here are a few pictures of here while we were waiting on the results of her Strep test.  She actually had a little energy after her fever started going down - so in these pictures she was happy.

It was cool here last night but I dressed her in short sleeves and I had on long sleeves but since she was running a fever I was trying to cool her off.  She looked so cute in her pink t-shirt with her pink tennis shoes.

Poor baby girl has had a restless night.  I am thankful that is seems her fever has stayed down throughout the night.  I was up with her about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours all during the night though.  She would just cry out alot while she was sleeping and then sometimes she would wake up.  I have been alternating the Mot*in and Tylen*ol all night.  Since she fell back to sleep right before time for her last dose I am just waiting until she wakes up again - since her fever seems to be down right now.  Hopefully, we are almost past the fever part of this!!

We had a cold front come through here. It is in the 30's according to my phone this morning. Yay!! Cool weather is here....I wonder for how long??

Sometimes the Princess will get the pillows off the couch and play with them.  A couple of days ago I had walked out of the room for a few minutes and when I walked back in this is what she had done!
