Almost 3 and Mother's Day!

I can't believe my baby is almost 3!!  Yesterday she and I went to look at stuff for her party.  You would think I would already have it all planned but I am having such a hard time trying to decide between two different themes.  I have to make my decision in the next 24 - 48 hours though because I have got to get the invites made and in the mail.  It is so tempting to just go with a color rather than a theme....that might be MUCH easier:).

This year I really want to start making birthday traditions with her too.  I told hubby a while back there is a restaurant that I think is really fun to go to and maybe we could make that her yearly birthday place to eat!  I want to figure out how to make that day super special for her and then carry on the traditions in the years to come.  Do you have any special birthday traditions that you do with your kiddos?

This week is flying by....Tuesday night I hosted a MOPS moms night out at my house.  We had a great time sitting around and just chatting.  Although I don't know how much I really chatted that night because I was so tired!

Isn't this a picture of two cuties!  Hubby was traveling Mother's Day weekend!  This picture was from the Saturday before Mother's Day.  Friends of ours had invited us to watch their youngest son play soccer!  The Princess had a great time and got a picture made with "A" after the game.

This picture is on Mother's Day.  Remember above I mentioned that Hubby was out of town that day so this is a picture that I took of me and the Princess...not the best picture in the world but at least I have one of us on Mother's Day.  This is not the first Mother's Day that Hubby has been traveling.  He actually was traveling the first Mother's Day after the Princess was born.  I am thankful for our friends Alexia and John.  Both years that he has been gone (2 out of 3 since the Princess was born) Alexia and John have invited me to join them for lunch.    We always have a great time....on the Princesses first Mother's Day we gave her a french fry...it was the first time she had ever had one....it is amazing how much she has grown up in just 2 years!

Mother's Day afternoon (after nap time) the Princess and I went to the Sonic to get ice cream.  You see the ice cream in her hand in the picture at the top...she really did eat almost the whole thing!!  She definitely takes after her daddy when it comes to ice cream!  Recently we were driving through a shopping area (that we do stop and get ice cream at some) on our way to Toys R Us I think....anyway, she saw Cold Stone and was wanting to go for ice cream...too funny that she knew exactly where we were and which store was the one with ice cream!

Happy Thursday!!
