Well, we have been to the doctor 3 out of 5 days this week!!! It all started on Tuesday when E had her 1st doctors appointment. She did really good considering she had to get her little foot stuck! I would say she just about handled that one better than me. I was so excited to hear that her weight was 6.2 pounds on Tuesday!!! Last Thursday night, when they weighed her at the hospital she weighed 5.13 pounds....so on Tuesday we were up 5 ounces!!! She is growing and eating great now.....I have to say staying in the NICU and Special Care Unit (I will do a post on that later) was well worth it considering she can eat just as much as her mama can now:).....so many people say she looks like Hubby but has my mouth....I wonder if she has my love of food to????
Wednesday we went to see my doctor for my 2 week checkup. I had told E before we went that she would get her picture made with Dr. A when we went....and that Dr. Angel was the very first person to hold her....El also got to meet Dr. A's nurse who has been right there during E's pregnancy....I have to say I have the greatest doctors...they have been right there with me through Kate's loss and my pregnancy with E...E got to meet Dr. S.C on Thursday....
Wednesday I thought E sounded a little congested and then when I was feeding her in the wee hours of the morning...Wednesday night and Thursday morning it sounded worse....so I called E's doctors office as soon as they opened on Thursday....E went in again on Thursday and they said she was fine....just a little congested....and guess what she weighed....6.5 pounds....yes, she was up 3 ounces from Tuesday!!! Then on Thursday afternoon E went with me to see Dr. S.C.
Today is Friday and we are just hanging out at home....ok, hanging out at home does not mean we are doing nothing....it seems like there is very few free moments in the day...so when E is sleeping and I am not getting ready for the next feeding, washing bottles, washing clothes or taking a nap I sit down at my computer for a few minutes....hopefully I will be able to post something about E or at least pictures each day.
Hubby had lunch plans with a friend of his today so Jennifer came over and had lunch with me and played with E.
Today we do have to go to WalMart or Sams....we were quite amazed that we went through 3 containers of wipes in 6 days!!! It is amazing how a quick run to WalMart or Sams has to be so planned...
