Thanksgiving!

We normally do not go back home for Thanksgiving. Our good friends the Dawson's normally do not go back home for Thanksgiving either and we usually spend Thanksgiving together. We always have a great time and since we are all from the south (but from different states) our Thanksgiving meal is very similar.

This year I was in charge of the cornbread dressing, green bean casserole and bread. Keith was in charge of seasoning the turkey and frying it the next day. Gretchen was in charge of the pies, chocolate dessert, Christmas Cranberry Salad (ok, that is an unbelievable dish), and mashed potatoes. Earlier in the week, Gretchen's sweet daughter called me to see if I would also make my sweet potato casserole. I said of course I would...do you know how great that made me feel that a 16 year old wanted me to make a certain casserole!!!! I was so excited that she liked it that much!

Ok, the above post has been written for a while.....and now here is the rest of the story....

So Gretchen and her daughter came in and told me they had something for Ella but they had to put it together....here is a picture!  I took this picture with my phone rather than my camera so I could finish my post today....anyway, the picture does not do the tree justice.  This tree is adorable!!  Thank you Dawson Family!!!  We love you guys!!  Thank you for loving our little girl so much!!!!
