For a little over a month I have been planning a surprise party for Hubby's 40th birthday. Everything was going great until I had to tell Hubby he was having a party. Well, had I not told him he would have found out anyway because one of his co-workers that changed jobs did not delete the email so he saw it when he was cleaning up that guys computer.
We had so much fun! I think Hubby was still somewhat surprised. I invited two of his friends from back home he has been friends with at least since highschool if not before and they were both in our wedding as well. One was able to come with his wife but the other one had to work. Hubby's mom and dad came along with his sister and her kids. Dear friends of ours came and almost all Hubby's coworkers were here along with several of our neighbors. We had at least 47 people including us which I thought was a great turnout!!
Sunday morning we skipped church because I had a breakfast planned for all the people that had come from back home. Hubby's family stayed here with us and his friends stayed in a hotel so I thought it would be fun for all of them to get to spend time together since I knew they would not get much time to chat at the party.
It was quite a busy week and weekend getting everything ready! I had so many things planned to do that I just never got around to. It is very hard planning a semi-surprise party by yourself when you are taking care of an almost 11 month old at the time all day. I did get through all the pictures.
On Saturday several of my friends came over to help me get ready and help with the Princess. I am so thankful for friends that are always there to help out no matter what! I was probably recruiting them a month ago just so they would have it on their calendar because like I said before I just can't get much done during the day with the Princess!!
Thanks to my friend Jen we have lots of pictures from the party. (She is also going to take the pictures at the Princess birthday party). Had it not been for her I would have been lucky to have 5 pictures I was so busy doing so many other things!! Here are some pictures from Saturday night! Now, she took over 100 pictures so there is just no way I can post all of them:)....I may post more though in a few other post later.
