We Love Elmo!!

So E loves Elmo!! The first time we played with Elmo, Sadie was not to sure what to think about him. It is so funny to watch an 80 pound dog be scared of a little red furry talking doll. Is Elmo really a doll, I don't think so but he is not a stuffed animal either...anyway, E loves to hear what Elmo is thinking about today or listen to him sing Elmo's World. Here are a few more pictures I took of her and Elmo. I took all of these with my phone - I really need to be taking these pictures with my camera but my phone is always handy and so easy.

Nail Time...

This may surprise some people but I have never clipped E's nails....Hubby does it. I am scared I am going to miss somehow and then clip her skin so he does both her fingernails and her toenails. She has gotten so good just sitting and watching him. Here are some more pictures of the two of them during nail time!!

Neb-E The Dog Mask

E did pretty good most of the time taking her breathing treatments. She took a treatment about every 4 hours or so (during waking hours - we did not wake her up at night to take one) for about a week. The last few days we went 6 hours in between her treatments sometimes.

Sometimes she would just sit through one, sometimes she would sleep through them and sometimes she would scream through them.

We named her little doggie mask Neb-E. Hopefully that will be the only time we have to use Neb-E and the Nebulizer! When I took her back to the doctor for her follow up visit 9 days after she had been diagnosed with Bronchiolitis they said that her breathing sounded much better...no wheezing or anything. So that was just a little over 2 weeks ago.

Eventually I will get caught up! I have come to the realization it will not be in chronological order but at least it will be documented so when I have time to scrapbook!!

Will I Ever Catch Up?

You know I use to think that when I would be able to stay home that my house would always be clean, the laundry would always be caught up, dinner would always be ready at 5:30 or 6:00 each evening, I would have plenty of time to have lunch with my friends, E and I would go to MOPS, and my blog and scrapbooking would always be caught up! OK, obviously that was a dream I was living in while I worked 30 - 70+ hours a week (according to the time of the year it was) and before E was born.

My house seems to always be scattered, there is always laundry to be done, some nights we are eating dinner at 8:00 at night or Hubby will say we can just get take out some nights, have not joined MOPS because 1)it took us a while to figure out when she would be hungry, etc and 2)there has been way to much junk going around and I am not ready to leave her in the nursery. As any of you that follow my blog can tell I get really behind on posts(I really have good intentions) and as one of my scrapbooking friends could tell you I am really behind there.

But I have a happy little girl, who gets held plenty, is fed when she is hungry and loves to play all day (and not nap).

Here are a the pictures of Sadie and E that I was going to use on a Valentine's Card. Yes, I was going to send out Valentine's Day Cards but as some of you know you just received your Christmas Card in the past few weeks. If it had not been for the bad weather I would have probably been able to get them out but by the time I got them ready we were having our Winter Snow Storm!!

Happy Valentine's Day (A Day Late)!!!

Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler

Well, last night we saw history in the making! Yes, the Saints won their first Super Bowl ever. There was alot of excitement at our house. Luckily, everyone at our house was for the Saints - so everyone was really excited as Porter ran the ball down the field for a touchdown and then the onside kick at the beginning of the third quarter was great! I told hubby this morning that I normally would not watch a football game twice but I could watch that game again.

The Saints were the underdog and then they showed everyone they had what it takes to go all the way - Super Bowl Champions!!

E even stayed up for the whole game. I am pretty sure I have posted before that she LOVES football! It is funny because two of my friends told me last night that they have been thinking how much hubby looks like Sean Peyton and then another friend FaceBooked that they were saying the same thing last night. I had really never thought about that until they were all talking about it and then I started looking at a picture of Sean Peyton and I think I might see the resemblance.

YUCK!

That is exactly how E and I feel right now. Being sick is no fun. E seems to be doing ok. I talked to her doctors office yesterday because we can now hear a "rattle" in her chest. They said that was normal and she would probably get a little worse before getting better. They said we were around the time for it to get worse - we just caught it really early!

I went to the doctor on Wednesday and found out I have bronchitis and an upper respiratory infection. Then yesterday I was feeling my neck and now have a swollen lymph node. I am so ready to be well! I am so glad that hubby is not out of town just so he can help me with E at night. I keep telling myself surely I will start feeling better soon!

I am sure I am going to be wanting a nap later today (so hopefully E will take a nap). She woke me up around 3:45 this morning and I have not gone back to bed. She did go back to sleep for a little while though. I will be going to bed early tonight!!

I have to post a picture of E. I have got to get my good camera out of the bag and leave it on the coffee table like I use to do. I tend to snap all these pictures of E with my phone....
I hope you all have a great day!

Christmas Night At The Hospital.....

I am still going to blog about our Disney trip and Christmas and it will probably be in no particular order! I still have to get all the pictures - I think my sweet hubby has downloaded all the pictures on his computer so I just have to get them from him!

We traveled back home on Christmas Day. We got to my in-laws around 5:00. Hubby's sister and her family were there along with his uncle and aunt. E was so ready to eat. She slept most of the drive but had gone a little over 5 hours without eating - and she likes to eat every 2-3 hours (but around Christmas she was eating about every 2 hours). Well, I took her to the back and fed her as soon as we got there and then got her all dressed up in her little Christmas dress. I took her out for everyone to see. My sister-in-law took her so I could go eat and after a few minutes came to me because E had spit up blood. We called the doctor's office and talked to the oncall nurse and she said to take her the the ER. So off we go to the ER around 7:00. Remember I said I fed her around 5 and she was eating about every 2 hours at that time - so she was starving and crying as loud as she could. They would not let us feed her because they needed to examine her. Finally around 9:00 they told us that she could have Pedialyte. She gulped down about 12 ounces of that and they sent us home. We followed up with out pediatrician when we got back in town and they feel like everything is fine. It has not happened again and they think she 1) either got it from me when she was eating or 2) when she spit-up it was so forceful that it burst a little blood vessel. We finally got back to my in-laws I am guessing sometime after 10. So the above picture is E in her little hospital gown.  Can you tell both of them were REALLY TIRED!!!
