We Have Had A Busy Few Days.....

We have had a busy few days and I have not even been able to blog in the middle of the night....I have either been too busy or sleeping!!! So, where do I start....well, Tuesday night the Jeffcoats came to see the Princess. I say they came to see her...I am sure they wanted to visit with me and Hubby to:)...they brought dinner over and the 4 of us had dinner and then Sherry played with the Princess.

Wednesday came and we had to make a trip to the mall. If you remember we did not know if the Princess was a girl or boy....so I had bought 2 coming home outfits. Yesterday was the last day to return the little boy outfit to Dillards so the Princess got to make her first trip to the mall.

Wednesday evening, Tina, one of my Bible Study friends brought us dinner. I did not get a picture of Tina looking at the Princess...(I did not get a picture of the Princess going to the mall either...my camera brain must not have been working on Wednesday).

Yesterday, Hubby had a meeting at his office. He is still working from home so he took me and the Princess to his office with him. Well, his office is about an hour drive from our house so it was like a road trip to her. She slept just about all the way there and all the way home. She was excited to be able to see Becky and Renee again. They had come to the hospital to see her and got to meet her when she was in the NICU. They played with her most of the time she was there....that was the longest outing we have had yet....most of our outings have only been to the doctor's offices.

Last night, Hubby and his friend Kelly were having guys night....which usually is eating and a sci-fi movie. Well, last night, Alesha, the Princess and I had dinner with them. Yes, the Princesses first time out to a restaurant. I guess it was all the riding yesterday that wore her out but she slept through dinner and did not wake up until we were leaving....and it was 45 minutes past her feeding time!!! Alesha, the Princess and I came back to the house while the guys went to their movie...and they actually did not go to a sci-fi movie!! Alesha played with the Princess most of the evening and then while the Pricess would eat she would play with Sadie. We had a great time just hanging out.

It is amazing for just the little outings that we had the past few days how much stuff we had to take with us and how long it took for all three of us to get ready to go....I can just imagine when I take her to church....I will have to get up at like 5:00....not roll out of the bed a little after 7 like I am so use to doing.

July 31st!

Today is the day that E was actually due on. She is such a precious little baby. I can't believe that she will be 1 month old on Monday!! Every Monday and other days to tears come to my eyes to think how quick the time is really going by. Today she is 3 weeks and 4 days old. Wow, how time is flying by. Today is also the 2 week mark that we have been home with her. It is amazing how long Hubby and I were running on adrenaline both in the hospital and after coming home. The past couple of days I think it has hit us both....and we are now exhausted. Now, I say we are exhausted but we do not mind at all. It is great actually....what we would have done to have known what this exhaustion was like with Kate. We do not mind the middle of the night feedings and diaper changes. We do not mind when she just wants to be held and that is the only way for her not to cry... she is on a pretty good schedule. She wakes up to eat, play and get her diaper changed about every 3 hours. She has her moments when she crys....we actually had one of those last night....but something about when her daddy gets her it makes it all better...she is such a daddy's girl already!!!

I will leave you with a picture of her from last night....I just thought this outfit was adorable...this is an outfit that my mom and sister sent to her....I just love the little pants...they sent another outfit with little pants that fit her to that I will be posting soon....I have so much to post about from the past 2 days....so hopefully I will do that after her noon feeding. We have had to actually leave the house the past 2 days so it has been quite busy and crazy around here....but quite a few pictures and lots to blog about.....

I also want to say Happy Birthday to Cooper...his 2nd birthday was yesterday and I am sure that Cooper had quite the birthday party in heaven. Cooper was born to one of my Early Angel friends too soon. Windy, I was thinking about you yesterday.

3 Weeks Old

E was 3 weeks old yesterday! I can't believe it....it seems that it was just yesterday that my doctor came in my hospital room to tell me that E's lungs were ready and we scheduled a 2:00 C-section. I wonder how many times you all will hear me say that....time is going so fast already. Well, I was going to dress her up for her 3 week picture but we just had pajama day today....it rained pretty much all day her today so it was just a lazy day for both of us.

Weekend Visitors....

E had several visitors this weekend. I did not remember to get a picture of everyone that came over....but I did remember some of the time.

We started off Friday night with the Samuel's bringing dinner to us. Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, Green Beans, Bread and Brownies! This was their first time to meet Ella and this is one of the several times I forgot to take a picture.

Korey & Andy came over Friday evening. For all of you that have been reading my blog for a while know that Korey is my "Angel Friend". Korey and I first met about a month after Kate died....she was my match through the Early Angels group. She has become a very special friend to me...and has walked with me through the loss of Kate and my pregnancy with E.

On Saturday Lisa & Russell came by to meet Miss El.Lisa and Russell go to our church and use to be our neighbors. We really miss them not being our neighbors. I forgot to take pictures when they were here but they brought E some really cute clothes and some of the things even fit her now..she has outgrown her preemie clothes and now some of the newborn things fit her and some are still a little big...so here are a couple of pictures from yesterday of E with some of the things they brought her.

Saturday night the Procter's also came by to see E this weekend. Madison had been at camp for the week so she had not see E this week. Again, I forgot to take a picture...now how can we forget to take pictures when Dave is here????

Sunday afternoon Gretchen, David and Andrew came to see Miss E. Gretchen had been out of town and had not seen E in a week and 2 days! Gretchen and E got to know each other in the hospital....Gretchen would come hang out with us when Hubby would run home to take care of things...while in the hospital Hubby's dad brought E a little LSU outfit (GEAUX TIGERS!!!)....well notice the Tennessee outfit that Gretchen brought Eback from her trip last week....I told them that she could wear it when LSU was not playing Tennessee!!!

Sunday night my friend Jen and her family came over. She brought dinner with her for us all to eat together. We had Chicken Spaghetti, Salad, Brownies and HOMEMADE ICE CREAM! Yes, she made homemade ice cream before coming over. Sadie was quite excited when they got here to because they brought Scout (their yellow lab) with them.....Sadie and Scout played for a while then they ran him home....

Sadie & E

I know some of you have ask me what Sadie thinks of E. We think Sadie likes her but at times is not to sure what to think of her. Yesterday, E was crying as we were giving her a bath and I had walked out in our room to get something and Sadie was in her crate. That is very typical of Sadie....anytime she thinks someone is upset she goes to her crate. Sadie does walk up to E's pack-n-play when she makes a noise and will just look at her. I think Sadie really does like her she is just not to sure what to think about her at times. She will walk up to her when one of us is holding her and lick her hand or foot.

One day this past week I got the cutest picture of Hubby, Sadie and E. You will see it below...I think the picture says it all...Hubby, Sadie and E all taking a break!

The Week of Going to the Doctor!!

Well, we have been to the doctor 3 out of 5 days this week!!! It all started on Tuesday when E had her 1st doctors appointment. She did really good considering she had to get her little foot stuck! I would say she just about handled that one better than me. I was so excited to hear that her weight was 6.2 pounds on Tuesday!!! Last Thursday night, when they weighed her at the hospital she weighed 5.13 pounds....so on Tuesday we were up 5 ounces!!! She is growing and eating great now.....I have to say staying in the NICU and Special Care Unit (I will do a post on that later) was well worth it considering she can eat just as much as her mama can now:).....so many people say she looks like Hubby but has my mouth....I wonder if she has my love of food to????

Wednesday we went to see my doctor for my 2 week checkup. I had told E before we went that she would get her picture made with Dr. A when we went....and that Dr. Angel was the very first person to hold her....El also got to meet Dr. A's nurse who has been right there during E's pregnancy....I have to say I have the greatest doctors...they have been right there with me through Kate's loss and my pregnancy with E...E got to meet Dr. S.C on Thursday....

Wednesday I thought E sounded a little congested and then when I was feeding her in the wee hours of the morning...Wednesday night and Thursday morning it sounded worse....so I called E's doctors office as soon as they opened on Thursday....E went in again on Thursday and they said she was fine....just a little congested....and guess what she weighed....6.5 pounds....yes, she was up 3 ounces from Tuesday!!! Then on Thursday afternoon E went with me to see Dr. S.C.

Today is Friday and we are just hanging out at home....ok, hanging out at home does not mean we are doing nothing....it seems like there is very few free moments in the day...so when E is sleeping and I am not getting ready for the next feeding, washing bottles, washing clothes or taking a nap I sit down at my computer for a few minutes....hopefully I will be able to post something about E or at least pictures each day.

Hubby had lunch plans with a friend of his today so Jennifer came over and had lunch with me and played with E.

Today we do have to go to WalMart or Sams....we were quite amazed that we went through 3 containers of wipes in 6 days!!! It is amazing how a quick run to WalMart or Sams has to be so planned...
